Vegreville Serve Trip Application 2024

We are excited for this opportunity to take a youth team to Vegreville, Alberta the summer of 2024 to run day camp for our North Pointe Campus in Vegreville! This trip will cost approximately $200 which includes your food, transportation, accommodations, and activities!

We are so excited you are considering coming! Please read the following information carefully and fill the sections accordingly.

- Applicants must be 14 years or older (or Going into Grade 9) by June 30th, 2024 (Expectations may be made in certain cases for a 13 year old)
- Deadline for receiving applications is January 22nd, 2024
- Must undergo an interview process in order to attend the trip with our Small Group Leaders & Staff
-Please understand that completing an application does not guarantee you a spot as the interview and further processes help the staff decide accordingly
- INFO TEAM MEETING February 4th 1:45PM @ NP with the expectation that one or both PARENTS MUST ATTEND
- A $50 deposit due at the second meeting on March 3rd, 2024 upon acceptance for the serve trip.
- Must be part of a youth small group at North Pointe Youth
- If we run into the situation when a child is being sent home due to disciplinary actions, it is the parents responsibility to pay for any extra cost and or pick-up their child from Vegreville.

What are we doing?

For our trip, we will be serving alongside Pastor Calvin & Pastor Hannah at our North Pointe Vegreville Campus. We will be providing day camp, and completing other service projects during this trip. This is a chance for you to serve, develop your faith and impact people. Our desire is that this experience will change your live, help you see who Jesus is in a deeper way and give you a passion for God’s people.

February 4th, 2025: INFO MEETING (Bring a parent)
Interviews will done prior to info meeting if application is completed prior or after the info meeting if application is completed after. Once a spot on the team is received, students will complete the form.
March 3rd, 2024: ($50 DEPOSIT 1 DUE!!) Team Meeting
April 7th, 2024: ($100 PAYMENT 2 DUE!!) Team Meeting

Mission's Trip EXPECTATIONS

As a leadership team, we are so excited to have each and every one of you on this life-changing trip. Together, we expect God to do great things in and through us.
In order to make this trip as enjoyable and meaningful as possible for you as well as others, we ask that you would strictly follow these expectations regarding both behaviour and attitude.

- You will not always be with your friends or doing things that you necessarily love. You have to be flexible and have a good attitude with any task that you are involved in.

- Vegreville is a different lifestyle and has a different response to different people groups that may not be the same as what we are used to. Be prepared to be stretched and outside of your comfort zone in this area.

- Keep up to date on your daily devotional/journaling.

- ALWAYS respect and listen to your leaders.

- Show respect and Christ-like love to each other.

- No dating is allowed on the trip or any relationships with anyone on the team for the following 6 months after the trip

- No swearing, racial slurs, sarcasm or negative commenting.

- It is a no complain zone. Please do not complain about any of the tasks you are given to do.

- Work hard at all tasks and assignments with integrity and humility.

- It is YOUR responsibility to BE ON TIME for EVERYTHING. (When you are given a time and place to be, BE THERE!)

- No iPods/iPhones/electronics during assigned tasks/involvement.

- Everyone is required to participate in ALL team activities.
